The collarless
modern
style popularized by such as Peter Fonda in EASY RIDER and Steve McQueen
racing motorcycles in the 1960s. Our best-selling Motorcycle Jacket. Heavyweight
LOST WORLDS Chrome-Tanned Horsehide Leather -- from our own
tannery -- for which there is no
performance or qualitative substitute and no equal. For serious riding,
correct, primo American Horsehide is unique in strength, durability, abrasion resistance, water resistance, shock
absorption and beauty of grain. Amazing LOST WORLDS workmanship, made, of
course, at our own NYC factory. Craftsmanship approaching art. A lifetime
purchase. Jackets with more affinities to saddle work than to other clothing.
And appropriately so, in every respect. Time and time again we hear from customers involved in road
accidents how the Easy Ryder took extreme punishment and impact yet protected
its owner from serious injury -- the jacket emerging virtually unscathed.
(One adjuster, interviewing a customer unfortunately involved in a serious road
accident, but emerging with bare nicks and cuts, remarked that insurance companies should offer a
discount if the rider wears LOST WORLDS. A lofty compliment indeed.)
Performance gear of the highest caliber. But the EASY RYDER works great if you don't ride and
just love the masculine image. But put it to the test, then you'll understand
that LOST WORLDS jackets are equipment, not fashion. That they're amazing
looking is just icing, after all, but it's nice to have one's cake and eat it
too. Not much of that going around! Trim but not ultra-tight jacket. And
certainly not loose or baggy. Those are anathema to us! This is a riding
jacket after all. Functional and built to endure for ages. Many pair it with our
HORSEHIDE LEATHER JEANS
for an unbeatable riding or playing hard combo.
Decidedly masculine and no-frill.

"I
talked to you a week and a half ago about an Easy Ryder jacket purchase
and I ended up buying it from (--) because they had my size in stock. I
just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what an absolute
masterpiece this jacket is. It's perfect and I absolutely love it. I'm
wearing it all the time to get it broken in. I will be using it as my
riding jacket. I used to race motorcycles and have full leather race
suit. I wish they were of the same quality as these jackets. Thanks for
such a great product..."

Tough enough? The outcome of a successful boar hunt at which, according
to Alaskan Scott Morse, fellow hunters were amazed when their
purpose-built clothing took a helluva beating as they raced through
thorns, thicket and marsh in pursuit of their quarry while Scott's
horsehide Easy Ryder here didn't have a scratch on it. Not a scratch. We
didn't make this up and were more amazed than the guys out there. Wow!
Incidentally, we've gotten unpleased emails about this picture from
those ignorant of the environmental and livestock havoc wrought by
unchecked predators, boars prominent among them, the reduction of whose
numbers is sanctioned by state agencies. The primal, unprotected risks of
boar hunting, which put hunter and quarry on equal dangerous footing,
threaten those weaned on feminine values. (Can't we all just love one
another? It takes a (global) village.)
